Step by Step

We are delighted to announce the partnership between Pavegen and Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier: London-based greentech company Pavegen is using the kinetic energy of visitors' steps to generate electricity, which can then be used to charge electronic devices in the lounge areas of the new neighbourhood in HafenCity, for example.

The project combines a comprehensive green educational experience with convenience and is due to be installed in spring 2024.
