Bringing the Vision to Life

Anticipated to break ground in 2024 and slated to open to residents in 2026, the first phase of development will include 550 luxury apartment homes built by Mill Creek Residential. A one-acre town green will connect the residences with the shopping center, and a ‘main street’ outdoor district will feature restaurants and everyday conveniences and services.  The first phase will also see the restoration of a section of the beloved Sprout Brook, part of our commitment to the community and sustainable development.

A True Town Center

When the development is complete, Garden State Plaza will no longer be just an exceptional shopping center, but home to modern luxury apartments; plazas, parks, and gardens; health and wellness amenities; a transit center; and commercial spaces such as medical offices, a hotel and/or senior living— all alongside new outdoor shops, restaurants, and community event spaces.  Garden State Plaza will be a must-see destination: the perfect place to find the latest fashions, enjoy premier dining, socialize, take a walk or ride a bike, enjoy concerts and cultural festivals, and so much more.

“Our bold vision for Westfield Garden State Plaza is about transforming the shopping center into a true town center where the local community can come together to live, shop, work, and play.”
