The Good Festival Art: Student Stories from the Fashion Room Floor

from April 29 to June 30

Crafted by Berkeley College Fashion Merchandising and Management students, the 'Threaded Tales: Student Stories from the Fashion Room Floor' banner art installation is a stunning patchwork masterpiece made solely from discarded design room materials.

In small teams, Berkeley College students sorted design room fabric waste and excess sample room fabric and then selected prints and patterns that reflect their team's personal and educational journeys. Then, the students cut and sewed the fabric pieces together into one large banner.  Formed from their shared sustainability perspectives, four banners are being created and will be hung at Westfield Garden State Plaza near Planet Playskool and entrance 10. View this exquisite sustainable art beginning on April 29 at Westfield Garden State Plaza.

Be sure to join us on May 11 at The Good Festival for a celebration of sustainability and a day filled with eco-conscious fun and inspiration. Donate old jeans and bring a second pair to have 'revived', explore eco-conscious brand initiatives and innovative products, admire the sustainable art and fashion ready-to-wear looks from Berkeley College students, and so much more! Click here to learn more.
