Your Guide to Half-Term Family Dining Fun

Best Half-Term Family Dining

If taking your family out for a meal sounds more like a stressful experience rather than a delight, then we have some good news. Whether you’re planning a celebratory meal, or you need a quick pit-stop while visiting one of our centres with the kids this half-term, we’ve narrowed down some of our favourites.

You can trust us on this one – we’ve asked actual parents (and their kids!) for their recommendations so you can thank us later!

All Star Lanes

All Star Lanes

For those that love an activity AND good food, All Star Lanes hits the brief every time! Perfect for all ages, the whole family can enjoy a game or two of bowling whilst snacking on tasty food, or for those who prefer to sit down when eating, stop by their restaurant after hitting those strikes.

Our top tip – check out the Family Bundle Menu – there’s something for everyone to enjoy and every item comes with sides, including healthy options for the kids.

Big Easy

Half Term at Big Easy

We can’t get enough of Big Easy – whether it’s the live music or the sumptuous slow-smoked meats, we keep going back for more. Better news is that Big Easy offer an epic kids menu for under £10 meaning great dining doesn’t have to break the bank.

Our top tip – Let the kids finish their meal with the Skull-Duggery Ice Cream, where they get to excavate their way through chocolate ice cream to discover white chocolate skull and bones!

The Real Greek

Half Term at The Real Greek

The smell of gyros is enough to suck us through the front doors of The Real Greek alone, but if you want a family friendly restaurant where kids are king, place The Real Greek to the top of the list.

With a menu where the kids can enjoy a main, dessert and drink for £7, you can’t go wrong!

Our top tip – Kids can eat totally free on Sundays at The Real Greek – even better!

Bill’s

Half term at Bill's

Dining in Bill’s is comfortable, cosy and utterly delicious. With a menu that spans from breakfast to dinner, it’s the perfect place to stop off for a late breakfast before commencing some morning shopping or a kids activity. Plus, the staff will look after you like you’re part of their family which we love!

Our top tip – The buttermilk pancakes gets the thumbs up from our mini reviewers – syrup is compulsory!

Wagamama

Half term at Wagamama

Asian food becomes completely accessible for a family when you’re dining at Wagamama. The family-friendly benches are great for squeezing the kids on, and little mouths will be kept busy with colouring and menu activities.

Our top tip – Their kid-friendly chopsticks are a great way to learn to eat authentically - and fun to watch as well!

Pasta Remoli

Half term at Pasta Remoli

You might not have noticed Pasta Remoli before, but you need to add it to your list of family dining faves. Tucked away in the Great Eastern Market, this family-run restaurant is the perfect for pasta lovers of all ages. All their dishes can be made as a child portion and we guarantee that whilst it isn’t a typical restaurant, you’ll be back again for more!

Our top tip – Ask the chefs to do their signature ‘pasta flip’ in the pan. The kids will love it!
