Having multiple dessert options under one roof is a sweet tooth’s paradise! At Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City we’ve got your back – whether you are after something quick and easy to satisfy those cravings, or a decadent to finish a meal – we’ve got something for everyone. We’ve put together 7 different types of must have desserts for you to try – one for each day of the week!
Monday
Start the week right! It’s Monday, you’re still recovering from the weekend – you need a pick me up, something that will make you feel goooood, and what better way than to indulge into a delicious fudgy chocolate dessert!
Head over to Pizza Express for their classic chocolate fondant - warm, rich chocolate pudding with a soft centre, paired with a scoop of vanilla gelato (yum!) or pick up an on the go triple chocolate brownie from Greggs – packed with mouth watering chunks of white and milk chocolate – one would say it’s a chocolate lovers dream.
Tuesday
Why not try something light and refreshing? A freshness in every lick? Head to Badani’s for their flavoursome sorbets, the freshest seasonal fruits used to make some of the tastiest desserts! And even better, all of their sorbets are 100% vegan.
You could also visit Busaba for their Busababocker glory! Ice cream sundae with mango sorbet, banana and coconut ice cream, topped with coconut cream popping candy and crushed peanuts – yes please, that’s one way to treat yourself.
And not forgetting Zizzi’s new Lemon Meringue Sorbet - A tangy treat combining Sicilian lemon & ricotta gelato, vanilla gelato and whipped cream. With lemon curd, meringue kisses and amaretti biscuits – how refreshing does this sound?
Wednesday
Hump day has arrived! And we’ve got cake on our minds. Classic, chocolate, cheesecake, strawberry, you name it we’ve got it here at Westfield.
If your looking for a cheesecake, you must visit Balan’s for their Red fruit cheesecake, New York-style vanilla cheesecake, red fruit coulis & miniature mango churros!
The Grand Caffe (Westfield London) Caffè Concerto Four Dials (Westfield Stratford City) for their range of cake slices, lemon, salted caramel, red velvet, millie feuille, Biscoff Lotus slice cake – at this point I’m thinking what flavour don’t they have?
My personal favourite has to be the Very Berry slice from Ole & Steen, a puffed rice, coconut and chocolate base, topped with vegan blackcurrant mousse, jelly and blackberries slice!
Thursday
Thursday’s the new Friday, right? As we are getting closer to the weekend, all we are thinking about is doughnuts! A quick pick me up to get you through the day. An original shiny glazed Krispy Kreme – a classic favourite, or something a little different… perhaps some mini cinnamon doughnuts from Bills, served warm with cinnamon sugar, chocolate sauce & dulce de leche (just typing this is making me hungry!).
Or why not mix it up and dig into Cross Town Doughnuts where the flavours are endless… Matcha and Strawberry, Sri Lankan Cinnamon Sugar, Homemade Raspberry Jam, Peanut Butter Caramel and Banana or Pistachio and Rose. Which one would you choose?
Friday
It’s Friday! The weekend has arrived. It’s time to try something new. After a delicious dinner at Westfield, if you are not already there – head over to Rosa’s Thai for some mango and sticky rice, a Thai favourite! Sweet mango, coconut flavoured sticky rice, topped with sweet coconut milk, and sesame seeds. Just a warning, you will become obsessed!
Copper Chimney’s Gulab Jamun – an early weekend treat! Golden fried milk dumplings covered in rose scented syrup. My mouths watering just thinking about them…
Balan’s ‘Remi’s Snickers’ - peanut butter feuilletine, peanut nougat, caramel, milk chocolate crémeux, peanut crumble & rum cream will have you feeling satisfied. The burst of flavours, different elements of peanuts all in one!
Saturday
It’s Saturday, and Saturdays are made sweeter with a stack of fluffy pancakes dripping in your favourite choice of toppings and sauces. Here at Westfield we have so many places you can devour a stack, or even the minis!
The fluffiest pancakes recently arrived at Westfield, Fuwa Fuwa. The softest, bounciest and lightest pancakes you’ll ever eat, not forgetting award winning too! A mix between a souffle and traditional pancake, topped with anything you fancy – from Nutella and banana, to matcha tiramisu. My personal favourite is cookies and cream.
Crepe Affaire have a range of mini pancakes, bringing both comfort and delight with every small bite! Ultimate Nutella, banana split, to ‘I’ll have what she’s having’.
Sunday
It’s Sunday, the weekend is nearly over. But we’ve got something to keep the Monday blues away… for now. Sunday’s are all about comfort and warmth, and nothing shouts warmth like a crumble, custard and ice cream.
Visit Copper Chimney for their Gajar Pistachio Crumble. Carrot pudding paired with soft kulfi (ice cream) layered with pistachio and praline crumble! Or Salt Yard’s delicious poached pears, seed crumble and ricotta dish. Fruit and crumble – the ultimate mix.
