At Westfield St James Quarter, we always give back to the community. This year, our charity partner is Children First, Scotland’s national children’s charity. The partnership will shine a spotlight on the vital work Children First does to protect and support children and families across Scotland, while also raising essential funds through a programme of community-led initiatives.

Founded on the belief that every child deserves a safe and happy childhood, Children First works tirelessly to protect children from harm and to help them recover from trauma and abuse. The charity provides practical, emotional, and financial support to families, helping to give children a brighter future.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. That means the expected, such as managing and reducing our energy use. As well as the unexpected, like encouraging behaviour change for positive environmental action. And, with our robust and collaborative waste management strategy, we currently recycle 100% of our food waste, glass, and dry mixed recycle (DMR). We’re also proud to work with many sustainability champion brands and to curate exciting and creative environmental experiences regularly for our guests.

We now have 7 complimentary refillable water stations throughout the Quarter which save around 200,000 bottles a year – that’s a whole lot of plastic saved which will not end up in our seas and oceans. Bring your reusable flask or bottle and get your fill of our fresh, filtered Scottish water.
