Westfield World Trade Center in New York City announced today that retailers will re-open to serve the community starting September 9th, 2020, welcoming back customers with modified hours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. In partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and other stakeholders, the facility is implementing relevant government-mandated health and safety protocols as well as providing new services and amenities to address customer concerns during this phase of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Westfield is excited to open our doors again to the Downtown Manhattan community as we continue to recover from the pandemic,” said Danielle Hascoe, Shopping Center Manager. “We are working closely with local officials and other relevant community groups to ensure a healthy, clean and safe environment for our customers, tenants and employees; and are committed to providing the best experience possible as our retailers begin to operate again at the center.”
The company is also working with select retailers to facilitate curbside pick-up at the center to make it as easy as possible for customers to quickly and safely collect purchases. More details on this program will be provided as they become available from individual retailers or through the center’s website.
In addition, Westfield will offer its Answers on the Spot program, which provides a real-time response by texting 646.480.7003 or via webchat during business hours to answer questions about store and center hours, promotions, and other topics.
The company will continue its #WestfieldCares program, aimed at helping some of the most vulnerable populations impacted by the crisis in the local community. The program includes making monetary and in-kind donations to local organizations that serve groups such as those experiencing homelessness, economically disadvantaged families, seniors, and children along with activities thanking local first responders and medical professionals.
Further information on the center including individual retailer and restaurant operating hours, health and safety practices, local #WestfieldCares initiatives and other programs can be found by visiting Westfield World Trade Center.
