MCASD Family ArtLAB: Clay Frames

18 June
Reserve Your Spot

MCASD invites you to enjoy another Family ArtLAB: Clay Frames!

Join the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in a Father’s Day inspired Family ArtLAB. The ArtLAB will start with a short kid-friendly tour of the Beverly Pepper sculpture, Zeus Triad, followed by our art project!

Your artist will be able to craft their very own Father’s Day gift. Inspired by the works of Beverly Pepper we will explore clay, and printing. Air dry clay will be used to create a frame for a foam print! These stamps and designs reflect the imprint of our fathers on our lives.

Have fun, be creative, and please share your finished creations by tagging @mcasandiego and @WestfieldUTC

About the Artist: Beverly Pepper (1922–2020) was a prolific American artist known for her monumental sculptures, land art, and site-specific installations.

Visit Family ArtLAB anytime between 11am-3pm near Tocaya Modern Mexican. Tables will be set up so that you can create your art onsite.

Registration requested. Free to attend. This program is free and recommended for families with children ages five and older. While supplies last. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting crafts on.
