LUNAR NEW YEAR AT DIN TAI FUNG
Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the lunar calendar, and for those who celebrate, it is seen as a chance to leave behind the troubles of the past year and improve upon the good luck that came their way.
Lunar New Year also welcomes a new animal from the Chinese Zodiac, with 2023 ushering in the Year of the Rabbit. Those born in the Year of the Rabbit are known to be vigilant, witty, creative and skillful. To celebrate the New Year, children are given red envelopes by their relatives, filled with “lucky money” to use in the new year.
In honor of this tradition, Din Tai Fung will give out traditional red envelopes to their guests in the weeks leading up to Lunar New Year for them to use in their own celebrations with friends and family.
