START (Serving, Thriving, and Reading Together) is a family-focused program building community among military and civilian families. The book club consists of four weekly storytelling and discussion sessions featuring award-winning children’s books. Parents with children ages 6 to 13 will enjoy discussing ideas such as family, courage, and community.
After the book club, families will be provided with dinner to enjoy together. This program is free for all participants.
The START Book Club series will be held at Discoveries: The Library at the Mall at 5:30pm on Thursdays, October 5, 12, 19 and 26. Families who register will be signing up for all four sessions. Presented in partnership by Blue Star Families and Discoveries.
