Let's skate! Westfield Old Orchard returns with a favorite holiday tradition in partnership with the Skokie Park District: a family-friendly Ice Rink. Located near Bloomingdale’s, the Ice Rink will provide cold-weather fun for all ages. Keep an eye out for special performances by IceSemble, a professional  ice skating ensemble.

Hours: Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: $3 for skate rental; $2 to skate; $5 total to rent and skate

The ice rink will close when temperatures are above 50 degrees or less than 17 degrees or if wind chill is below 5 degrees. For more information, contact the Weather Hotline: (847) 929-7999

Celebrate the holiday season with us every Saturday at the Winter Celebration events November 25-December 23. 

• Saturday, December 9 from 11am-5pm enjoy giveaways, complimentary valet, ice skating (weather permitting), #HowDoYouHoliday social photo booth, and a live ice carving demo in Cube Park from 1-3pm.

• Saturday, December 16 enjoy Star Wars Skating with Santa from 2-8pm, a special Pyrotechniqs Performance between 4:30-7pm, complimentary valet, and a #HowDoYouHoliday social photo booth.

• Saturday, December 23 enjoy photos with Santa from 2-4pm,  a special Pyrotechniqs Performance between 4:30-7pm, complimentary valet, and a #HowDoYouHoliday social photo booth.

Join us for Skating with Santa at the Westfield Old Orchard Ice Rink! This years theme is Star Wars, so come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character for your chance to win great prizes! Kids can show off their skating skills in one of our 30-minute sessions or join us for crafts and photos from 2-3pm or afterward from 6-7pm for free Santa photos!

The ice rink is located just outside the mall entrance to Bloomingdale's.

Ice skates will be available for rent at no additional cost (included in the ticket price), however you may bring your own skates if you would like. 

Westfield Old Orchard and Lubavitch Chabad of Skokie will partner once again for their annual and highly anticipated Hanukkah events December 10-20. Enjoy daily crafts, entertainment, refreshments and Menorah lighting ceremony.
