Founded by a Guizhou native and UC San Diego graduate, NIUMIAN KITCHEN was created to share the bold flavors and culinary traditions of Guizhou with San Diego. Known for its distinctive use of chilies, Guizhou cuisine is less about heat and more about aroma, depth, and complexity. Carefully roasted and prepared chilies bring a smoky fragrance and rich flavor that define many of the region's most beloved dishes.
NIUMIAN KITCHEN brings this tradition to life through specialties such as Red-Braised Beef Noodle Soup, featuring tender beef and a savory broth made with traditional Guizhou chili paste; Red-Braised Beef with Charcoal-Grilled Green Chili over Rice; and Spicy Chicken Rice Noodles, which showcase the aromatic character of Guizhou's signature chilies.
