Shopmobility Terms & Conditions
As the hirer/or on behalf of a minor or person under my care, I fully understand and accept the
following conditions of hire.
1. Mobility scooters and wheelchairs must be returned no later than 30 minutes before the Guest Services desks close. This is 8:30pm Monday to Saturday, and 5:30pm Sunday
2. Wheelchairs cannot be pre-booked and must be hired once arrived in-Centre.
3. All wheelchairs are hired on a first come, first served basis. Due to limited stock, wheelchair availability cannot be guaranteed
4. The user of mobility equipment must be a minimum of 16 years old
5. If the user has any medical condition that could impede on their ability to safely use the equipment a member of staff must be informed
6. Guest Services cannot under any circumstances physically assist a user to alight or disembark any mobility equipment
7. Westfield Stratford City retains the right to refuse or cancel the hire of equipment
8. The user of mobility equipment will be responsible for the cost of damage to the equipment during the hire time
9. The user is liable for any injury or damage to any person or property as a result of, or in the course of, the use of equipment
10. The user will not allow any other persons to use/operate the equipment during the hire time. This includes having another adult, child, or pet upon the equipment at the same time as the user
11. The user will not use the equipment on escalators or stairs
12. Equipment must only be used within Westfield Stratford City premises
13. Items such as bags and shopping must not be placed on the handles of equipment. Items weighing over 3kg must not be placed anywhere on the equipment including baskets and backpacks supplied with the equipment
14. Should the user need to access a store or area where the equipment cannot be used, the equipment must be parked or placed in a safe area away from stairs, balustrades and avoiding the equipment being a trip hazard
15. When not using a mobility scooter, the scooter must be turned off and the key kept with the user at all times
16. Users must not alter the equipment in any way, this includes removing footrests, storage equipment, calf straps or any other fixed item on the equipment
17. The user confirms that they are not over the designated weight limit of the scooter which is 160kg (25 stones) and weight limit of the Wheelchair which is 125kg (20 stones)
18. All personal data submitted to Westfield Stratford City will at all times be processed in accordance with the UK Date Protection Act 2018 and our Privacy Policy https://www.westfield.com/en-gb/privacy-notice-shopping-centres
19. Westfield Stratford City reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and without notice
20. These terms and conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts
