Children's Election 2026 September 5-6Ahead of the election this fall, UNICEF Sweden is inviting preschools and primary schools to take part in the Children's Election 2026, where children between the ages of 5 and 9 get to try out how democracy works in practice. The children get to vote on issues that are important to them, such as their school, local environment and leisure time. UNICEF Sweden provides ready-made material, and the children get to vote in their own voting booth, just like in a real election. On September 5-6, UNICEF Sweden will be on site in Westfield Mall of Scandinavia and is offering an opportunity for children to come by and try out voting.
