The Season 9 Finale of "WAKSY" Comes to the Big Screen. Special Screenings at Cinema City Starting July 24!

For the first time ever, the online series "WAKSY" is coming to the big screen. From July 24 to 27, Cinema City will host special screenings of the Season 9 finale – the feature-length event "Hostages at School", which combines the already-released first chapter with the brand-new second and third chapters. Selected cinemas will also host meet-and-greet events with the creators and cast.

"WAKSY" is one of Poland's most popular online series for young audiences. Since its debut in 2017, the show has attracted millions of viewers on the WAKSY YouTube channel with its short comedy episodes set in a school environment. This time, however, the creators have prepared a project on a much larger scale.

"Hostages at School" is a two-hour cinematic event presenting the Season 9 finale as a single feature-length film. It combines the first chapter, which is already available on YouTube, with the premiere of the second and third chapters. Cinema audiences will also enjoy exclusive scenes created specifically for the theatrical version, a recap of the entire season, and a special message from the creators.

The story takes viewers to a high school where students are taken hostage by a group of armed attackers. Some of the characters are transported into a parallel reality created through the discovery of a missing scientist. To return home and save their loved ones, they must confront their deepest fears, face betrayal, and make decisions that could determine everyone's fate.

The film is directed by Arkadiusz Balcerzyk and stars Katarzyna Szewczyk, Kacper Gołąb, Konrad Domaszewski, Paulina Soboń, Mateusz Rumiński, Hanna Kotula, Piotr Wichrowski, Kacper Jan Lechowicz, and Krzysztof Rysz. "Hostages at School" blends elements of crime, adventure, and science fiction.

"Hostages at School" will be shown exclusively at Cinema City cinemas from July 24 to 27.
