We support the ‘Bochum Recognises Sepsis’ campaign

More info

Sepsis, also known as blood poisoning, is one of the most common causes of death worldwide. At the same time, many people still know too little about the symptoms and dangers of this disease. This is exactly where the Bochum awareness campaign #BochumErkenntSepsis comes in.

Through numerous campaigns, the Bochum healthcare system aims to inform the population about sepsis, raise awareness of its symptoms and help ensure that those affected receive medical assistance more quickly.

We are also participating in this important initiative. Our dear Shoppy is supporting the campaign locally and helping with the ‘Packing against Sepsis’ initiative. Together with committed stakeholders from the Bochum healthcare system, information packages are being put together. These contain important information on the early detection of sepsis and are then distributed to GP practices and pharmacies in Bochum.

The aim is to reach as many people as possible with vital information and to raise awareness of the disease throughout the city.

The packing campaign is being held in conjunction with Bochum's mayor, Jörg Lukat.
