House rules

Dear visitors to Westfield Ruhr Park,
To ensure that you always feel comfortable here, it is necessary to regulate a few things. That is why we have drawn up these house rules. The following points apply to the entire Westfield Ruhr Park site, in particular the shopping street and the car parks.

1. The regulations and traffic signs applicable to public roads apply to traffic in the car park and must be observed, as must all other traffic regulations posted in the car park.

2. No visitor may obstruct, harass or endanger other persons.

3. All regulatory requirements must be observed by customers. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- the use of fire
- the storage of operating materials and flammable objects
- unnecessary honking and the harassment of third parties through exhaust fumes and noise
- leaving engines running unnecessarily and
- parking vehicles that leak operating materials (e.g. oil/petrol)

4. Customers must park their vehicles exclusively and precisely in the marked spaces in such a way that it is possible to get in and out of neighbouring parking spaces without obstruction at any time.

5. If parking spaces are designated for special customer groups or vehicle types, the following rules must be observed:
a) Only vehicles with ALL FEMALE PASSENGERS may be parked in WOMEN'S PARKING SPACES. Children are exempt from this rule.
b) Only vehicles that comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations may be parked in DISABLED PARKING SPACES.
c) Parking spaces that are limited to vehicles of a specific maximum height may only be used by vehicles with a total height below the specified maximum height. d) Vehicles may only be parked in the designated E charging spaces during an active charging process. Parking without a connected and active charging process is prohibited. Once charging is complete, the charging space must be vacated immediately to allow other visitors access.

6. If the customer fails to comply with these regulations, the operator is authorised, without further notice, to have the incorrectly parked vehicle removed by appropriate means at the customer's expense.

7. The parking spaces and their facilities must be used with care and in an appropriate manner. Any damage will be repaired at the customer's expense.

8. Cleaning, repair and maintenance work on vehicles is prohibited throughout the entire car park. Advertising of any kind is prohibited.

9. The car park is cleaned by the operator; however, any dirt for which the customer is responsible must be removed by the customer immediately. Otherwise, the operator is entitled to have this dirt removed at the customer's expense.

10. Vehicles are parked at your own risk. Only officially registered vehicles may be parked. There is no security service.

11. Playing music in the centre and in the car park is only permitted with the written permission of the centre management.

12. Any sale of goods on the premises requires the written permission of the management.

13. The distribution of flyers, brochures or similar items is prohibited on the premises.

14. Motorcycles and mopeds may not be driven or pushed through the shopping arcade. For safety reasons, kickboards, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, e-scooters, Segways and similar vehicles, whether motorised, electric or muscle-powered, are also not permitted. Mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers and prams are of course exempt from this prohibition.

15. Dogs must be kept on a leash. Any mess must be cleaned up immediately by the owner.

16. The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited outside of catering establishments.

17. The instructions of the centre management and security staff must be followed immediately. They have the right to expel persons from the shopping centre at any time.

18. Violations of the house rules will result in a ban from the premises. If the legal requirements are met, criminal charges will also be brought for all applicable offences.

19. Throughout Westfield Ruhr Park, photography and video recording are permitted exclusively for private, non-commercial purposes. Any use for commercial, journalistic or other non-private purposes requires the prior express written consent of Westfield Ruhr Park. Westfield Ruhr Park reserves the right to demand the immediate deletion of any unauthorised recordings. In the event of unauthorised publication, Westfield Ruhr Park may demand the immediate removal of the content in question and the cessation of further infringements.

20. Camping and overnight stays in vehicles such as cars, lorries, camper vans, etc. are prohibited throughout the entire premises.

21. Unloading and disposing of waste not generated in Ruhr Park is prohibited. Violations will be prosecuted and reported to the authorities.

22. Feeding birds in the centre is not permitted.

23. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all indoor areas without exception.

24. The consumption of drugs of any kind, including marijuana, is strictly prohibited throughout the premises. The consumption of alcohol is also prohibited, with the sole exception of catering establishments with a valid licence to serve alcohol.
