Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier has become an integral part of Hamburg’s cityscape. A former industrial site in the harbour has been transformed into a vibrant shopping and lifestyle destination, attracting both Hamburg residents and visitors to HafenCity with an exceptional range of retail, leisure, dining and cultural offerings. 8 April 2026 marks the first anniversary of its opening, and this milestone is set to be celebrated in style.

Birthday party across the whole neighbourhood
During our birthday weekend, the whole of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier will be transformed into a party zone for the local community and all visitors. In addition to the main stage near Thalia, where a varied programme of shows will be on offer, there will be two smaller activity areas with everything you’d expect from a proper celebration – treats, music and gifts.

No birthday is complete without a cake: that’s why we’re presenting Hamburg’s tallest cake to you in front of Thalia! On the 8-metre-high stage, a varied programme featuring music, fashion shows and entertainment will take place on both days of the event..

Fashionshows.
On Saturday (11 April), our stage will be transformed into a catwalk every hour on the hour, where our stores will showcase their latest collections. There’ll also be party games on stage for all ages and music from Radio Energy..

As well as the fashion shows, our stage will host a range of fantastic birthday games on both days of the event, featuring Radio Energy as well as our shops, restaurants and entertainment options. These include a film quiz with Kinopolis..

At the event area in front of H&M, the Cinnaversum team will be treating you to sweet cinnamon buns..
