Its February! Time celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival, Lunar New Year and LOVE, with Valentine’s Day.  Just when you thought this winter month was going to be a boring one! The Chinese New Year is perhaps the most important and elaborate holiday, time to finish out the old and welcome the new year. 2021 is the “Year of the Ox.” It is traditional for giving gifts to express respect and affection. Gifts should be wrapped in customary colors red, gold and orange. 

 

You know Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching when you start seeing conversation hearts and velvet boxes filled with chocolates on drug store shelves. Especially when the retailers in the shopping center are displaying anything that is red, pink and heart shaped galore!!  Love is in the air.
