Wellness Wednesday with Eataly
Wellness Wednesday is Westfield Century City's monthly health and wellness series focusing on discovering your best self, inside and out.
Celebrate Spring Italian-style with Eataly on Wednesday, May 12th at 6:00pm. Eataly Chef Tommaso Iorio will teach attendees how to prepare one of Italy’s celebrated light, herb-heavy dishes from the northern coastal region Liguria – Trofie al Pesto! Learn the step-by-step process behind one of Eataly's favorite regional dishes, from the freshly-ground basil to cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, you’ll get an exclusive walkthrough of all the high-quality ingredients involved in creating a healthy and incredibly delicious true pesto Genovese. That’s not all! Taste the final dish and get transported to the Ligurian seaside, then bring the recipe home with you so you can add some Italian springtime flair to your next at-home spread.
Tickets are $5/person to reserve your space with 100% of proceeds benefiting local charity partner, Restaurants Care.
The event will take place in the Atrium at Westfield Century City. Check-in begins at 5:30pm on Level 1 near Tiffany & Co and event starts at 6:00pm. All attendees must sign a COVID-19 waiver upon entry and seating within the event space is first come, first serve (please arrive with your full party). All guests must have purchased a ticket.
About Chef Tommaso
Tommaso is from a small town in Tuscany, in between Siena and Florence. So, he literally grew up in the center of Tuscany aka the center of Italy! The rich history of the region inspired him to go into the food/hospitality business. He worked for the famous Italian/Tuscan butcher Dario Cecchini of Netflix’s Chef Table (Tommaso can even be seen in the episode!) for years where he learned the craft. Eventually he traveled to America, and specifically LA, where he met his wife, and the rest is history. You will definitely be able to spot his Italian accent and what makes him most unique is his ability to connect to the home chef – since he cooks for his wife all the time! When Tommaso is not teaching virtual cooking classes you can find him at Eataly's rooftop restaurant Terra.
