To The Sea Men's Capsule Collection

from July 23 to August 23

Just in time for Summer, COS is launching a capsule collection for men, entitled “To The Sea”.  Exclusive to the US, in store and online, the new capsule collection features light layers inspired by the breeze on boat sails, and design details that nod to the ebb and flow of waves lapping on the sand.

“The inspiration for this collection was the seaside and coastline, and the immediate memories that come to mind when you think of them. We wanted to evoke the way the ocean, sand, sun and sea breeze trigger your senses, and how they make you feel.” Christophe Copin, Head of Menswear Design.

The 23-piece collection embraces the COS ethos of timeless design and commitment to sustainable production methods. Everything has been created using 100% sustainable fabrics, including Better Cotton Initiative and organic cotton, and Tencel Lyocell, a material derived from wood pulp. Several of the fabrications were also sourced from previous production deadstock.

The collection features shorts, shirts, wide-leg pants, lightweight knitwear, and even a men’s jumpsuit. Playful details permeate the collection, from tie-like belts to kite-inspired sleeve construction. Draped volumes and airy fabrications create pieces that can be worn together in light layers – perfect for warmer weather over the Summer months, and beyond.

The pieces in “To The Sea” are realised in a colour palette of tonal beiges and whites, with slate and ocean blue, creating a collection that evokes the coastal colours of the sea, sand and sky. These colours are brought together in the perfect accompaniment to the clothing collection: an abstract patterned beach towel, which will be exclusively available as a gift with any purchase over $200 on cosstores.com from July 24-26.

The collection launches exclusively in the US in store in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Washington DC, and online at cosstores.com on 24 July.
