Merry Hill shopping centre and Retail Park, Brierley Hill High Street and the Waterfront business park form part of Brierley Hill Town.

They are a focus for economic activity within the local area, employing in excess of 8,000 people in retail, construction and service occupations.

Merry Hill is one of the region's most successful shopping destinations, attracting over 21 million visits every year.

Merry Hill, now owned by Westfield, covers 1.5m sq ft with over 200 stores undercover, an external retail park and over 10,000 convenient parking spaces

The Waterfront is a short walk away from Merry Hill and offers 750,000 sq ft of quality office space, housing major businesses such as Egg.com, Barclays, Inland Revenue and The Child Support Agency.  The idyllic setting around the canal marina hosts a variety of bars and restaurants and the four star Copthorne Hotel.

Brierley Hill High Street has a variety of independent retailers and a traditional marketplace.  It’s a great place to find fresh food and great bargains and soak in the welcoming Black Country hospitality.

As part of Dudley's Unitary Development Plan Process, Merry Hill along with the Waterfront and Brierley Hill will be integrated to form the enlarged town centre of Brierley Hill.  Westfield, the owners of Merry Hill, is working closely with Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council to assist with this project.

The integration programme is part of a major urban regeneration project and will see the creation of a new mixed usage town centre through the physical and social integration of the areas.
