Creating a New Luxury Area:
- Designed by acclaimed architect Michael Gabellini, this area of the centre will offer London’s discerning customers a truly new and exceptional retail experience.
- Ground Level is dedicated to international and UK luxury and designer brands; Level One, the world’s leading lifestyle brands; Level Two, home to an exclusive urban retreat spa. Beautiful cafes, patisseries, restaurants and champagne bars will dapple the spaces throughout and exquisitely tailored service will be on offer.
- Exclusivity matched only by an incomparable image - innovation, light and space will differentiate this luxurious environment.
The Westfield London Dining and Entertaining Experience:
- The overall mix of eating and drinking offers will be truly eclectic and groundbreaking, incorporating not only a full restaurant offering, cafes and food hall style ‘pods’ but food retailing and bars. A mix which will appeal not only to the shoppers and leisure visitors that come to Westfield London, but also the tens of thousands of workers and residents within the immediate catchment area.
-
There are 5 distinct areas within the scheme for eating and drinking, tempered according to each environment:
- Eat Street & The South Terrace: A vibrant south facing outdoor streetscape of restaurants and bars that runs the length of Westfield London, interacting with food retail and the public meeting place at the entrance of the New Luxury area. Eat Street and the South Terrace will encompass a cosmopolitan blend of international cuisines and operational styles, showcasing innovative concepts and outdoor dining that are all high style in their own right, but not necessarily all high price.
- The New Luxury Area: Chic, sophisticated and exclusive eating and drinking facilities to complement the surrounding retail. Combining understated luxury with a premium product, it will be a place to indulge the senses.
- A collection of cafes above The Pavilion: A lively forum to excite the senses will feature 12 high-tech ‘pods’ showcasing an eclectic mix of European and Pan-Asian cuisines. Open cooking facilities create a true sense of theatre, with an emphasis on authentic, flavourful food delivered fast and fresh.
- The Gallery: A contemporary blend of quality casual restaurants and bars that interface with the entrance to the luxury 14-screen cinema. There will be an emphasis on family dining, serving movie-goers later into the evening.
- Mall Cafes & Pit Stops: Throughout Westfield London there will be a range of eating and drinking offers to refresh, revive and refuel. Throughout these will be tempered to suit the surrounding shops, be it an emphasis on urban independents, children’s retail, premium fashion or active lifestyle. Entrepreneurial operations will create a point of difference alongside quality brands to cater to all tastes.
The Westfield Experience in Delivering Customer Service:
- Westfield is a global retail property group with a successful track record of delivering premium developments for over 45 years.
- Westfield London will draw on Westfield’s unparalleled experience of creating unique luxury and lifestyle offerings to create an unprecedented retail development both in terms of quality and scale. It will provide a customer lifestyle offering that is second to none, combining entertainment, dining, and leisure opportunities with outstanding guest hospitality: valet parking, package carry-out, personal shopping and more.
- Westfield is proud to say that through its quality of offering, differentiation, global experience and passion for the business, Westfield is a best practice global leader.
- Westfield London will seek to emulate and build on the luxury experience of Century City in Los Angeles, and Bondi Junction in Sydney - developments that set a new, higher standard of retail experience and ones that have been received favourably by both retailers and consumers.
- In September 2007, Westfield opens another showcase for Westfield’s unique luxury lifestyle offering and experience in San Francisco. This development on Union Square will bring Bloomingdales to San Francisco for the first time and it will sit alongside the Nordstrom store. Westfield San Francisco will also demonstrate Westfield’s approach to dining and leisure as it seeks to take these activities to a new level of unmatched quality in design, construction and, most importantly, customer experience.
The Westfield approach to Customer Services:
- An indulgent customer assistance service will provide personal shoppers, a gift service, style advisors, lifestyle management and handsfree shopping.
- The retail offer will be supported by exclusive valet parking, a state-of-the-art traffic management system to make car parking easy, and touch screen information directories.
- Excellent amenities, parents rooms, and car park arrival and depart lounges.
- Being a multi-use development, Westfield is proud to announce the introduction of a number of new initiatives for children, parents, carers and community members alike, in addition to the traditional retail offering.
- The building will be secured 24/7, and the centre will be linked to the emergency services.
- Energy conservation and the environment play a key part in the Westfield London success story and every component from a light fitting to an air conditioning unit is selected and then managed to keep running costs and pollution to the absolute minimum.
- Mobile phones, internet shopping, gaming, downloading music are all things we take for granted these days. The technology in the Centre will deliver all of these today but it is designed to accommodate new and exciting developments as they arrive.
- Unparalleled public transport to and from Westfield London, including two new underground stations, a new National Rail station, and two new bus terminals.
