Shepherd's Bush (Central Line)

The Shepherd’s Bush station on the Central Line will provide the main access to Westfield London, and is to be extensively improved to meet the increased usage from visitors.

The station itself will be remodelled, with a new enlarged ticket hall building, improved appearance and an increased number of ticket gates.

A £65 million programme to increase capacity at the station and create step-free access from pavement to platforms is also in place, funded by Transport for London (TfL). Two new lifts will provide step-free access between the ticket hall and platforms. One will take customers from the ticket hall down to the lower concourse level and the other, which will be linked by a new passageway, will travel down to platform level. The new passageway, along with an additional set of stairs to the platforms will reduce congestion by providing extra capacity and increased operational flexibility.
