Development Projects
The 1.25 million square metre, mixed-use Westfield Stratford City development will open on September 13 this year. It is the prestigious gateway to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will be the largest urban shopping centre in Europe. Anchored by John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and a 17-screen Vue cinema, Westfield Stratford City will also be home to 300 retailers, hotels, offices, leisure and homes. Westfield is also undertaking pre-development activity on projects in Bradford and Nottingham as well as exploring further development opportunities at Westfield London where plans for a mixed-use scheme are due to be submitted later this year.
Planned development projects elsewhere include Guildford, Merry Hill and Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
