If you’ve visited the centre recently you may have noticed that hoardings have been erected external to the centre on Listergate. These have been erected so we can redevelop and refurbish the stores to create six new glass-fronted, double-height shops.
The refurbishment is part of Westfield’s continued commitment to the Broadmarsh and Nottingham city centre. Stephen Wood, Development Executive for Westfield, said “Listergate is the main link between the shopping centre and the city centre, so it is vital this area is inviting for both shoppers and retailers. The refurbishment will help lift and rejuvenate the street, as well as giving a flavour of what is to come in Nottingham when the Broadmarsh redevelopment gets underway.
“The refurbishment is a clear demonstration of our commitment to Nottingham. We are continuing work behind the scenes to make this scheme a reality as soon as possible, and deliver a top quality retail development Nottingham can be proud of.”
Ernest Jones will remain open throughout the redevelopment.
